The Kitchen Demolition: Old floor
And ladies and gentlemen . . . the stylish floor that was installed somewhere between 1957 and 1985.
The subfloor that was below the yellow lino we have lived with was stapled to this floor with cable staples, long skinny staples which are a pain in the tush to pull out with pliers.
We are using a large Swingline staple remover! LOL
We can't figure out if the builder did this or the owner. It is on the original subfloor so I am guessing builder cause the base colour of the walls is blue too. This house sold for $12,000 in 1957 so that might have been a stylin house for a good price then.
